This was another great month for me in terms of extra money earned! For those of you who don’t know, I write this blog to basically show you that the average person can do little things to earn money every month that can add up to a decent amount of money. Each month I post my money “Earned On The Side” to show you what I did and to encourage you that it isn’t that tough to do the same.
This site isn’t about how to make money blogging. I don’t write about blogging or SEO because I don’t even know what I’m doing, and I don’t think the average person out there wants to put forth the time and effort it takes to suceed in blogging. I do however post my earnings for my advertising and affiliate commissions to show you what is possible if you do decide to put forth the effort. Before this site, I had never done any blogging or website building, but in 5 months I have built this site up so that it now gets over 500 page views a day, has a Google Page Rank 3, and earns a few hundred bucks a month in advertising and affiliate commissions.
Below is listed all of my money earned on the side for July and not neccessarily all my website earnings.

Not too bad for the month, especially since I didn’t win any contests or radio prizes (i was ineligable most of the month). Did anyone else make any money this month? Let us know in the comments!

I had entered my first post on the 16th of July. Still have lots to learn. My earnings are extremely tiny so far, but my traffic is starting to pick up. I like the fact that you had mentioned that you don’t have depend on what others are suggesting. If you put in the effort, eventually it will pay off.

Dana for affiliates what I do is instead of seeking out affiliates that I can promote, I look for products and services I believe in and then see if they have an affiliate program. I personally believe this is a much better and more successful way to go. For most of my affiliate programs I go through commission junction.
As for Global Test Markets, it took me about 2 months, although I probably could have done it a little quicker.
Love your site. I will be back. You have to eat to keep up your strength while you are earning all this money. I will supply the menus and the hilarity and you can help me afford the food and milk that I am buying (constantly) I will try to follow your advice. How should I start? Would love some input

I made $12.79 in July. I would love to be able to make as much as you do in the near future. How many searches did you make on HomePage Friends in order to earn $12?

What I usually do is bookmark the searches for websites I visit regularly. For example, instead of typing http://www.gmail.com, I click the button on my firefox toolbar for the search through homepages friends for gmail. Since homepages friends actually redirects you to the search results, you need to find the url before it redirects you (otherwise you will just be searching yahoo and not earn any money). The urls look like this:
http://www.mysearchfunds.com/dosearch.asp?CID=(your id)&Referrer=IE7&ask=(what you are searching for)
nice -it seems like you’ve had a great month, i’ve never heard of alot of these sites that your getting stuff on but i’ll check them out. I use http://www.swagbucks.com as my search engine and i’ve also gotten about $40 worth of giftcards and items this month. Its a pretty sweet deal. Do you have a lot of friends signed up?
