Swagbucks is one of my favorite part time money makers.  It is basically just search engine that you can use instead of Yahoo or Google.  The difference is that occasionally throughout the day, you will be awarded with a SWAGBUCK.  You can trade your Swagbucks in for everything from Amazon Gift Certificates (My Favorite – 45 Swagbucks), to autographed merchandise from celelbrities or athletes, or even electronics like a television.

The best part about Swagbucks is their amazing referral program.  You basically earn exactly what your referalls earn for their first 100 Swagbucks.  Just a few active referrals can quickly start to earn you some great prizes!  I’ve earned hundreds of dollars in prizes from Swagbucks!

After you have signed up and confirmed your account, go to the “My Account” screen and on the left hand side of the page enter EARNONTHESIDE in the Swagcode box.  This will give you an additional 2 Swagbucks to the 3 that you already start out with!

Basic Tips for Winning SWAGBUCKS

• Use Swagbucks to Vist your Favorite Sites – Instead of going to your bookmarks or typing in the address of your favorite site, why not go through Swagbucks?  It takes about 2 seconds longer and will help you win more.
• Don’t Oversearch - Swagbucks will only let you win about 3-4 times a day, and will very rarely let you win twice in the same hour.  According to the Swagbucks website, only your first 20 searches give you a chance to win, after that you are just wasting your time. While I do feel like I may have won after my 20th search, I do know that constantly searching over and over again will not help you win more.
• You Can Almost Always Win at Least Once a Day - I don’t remember the last time I didn’t win at least one Swagbuck in a day, and it usually happens within the first 5 searches. Additional wins are very possible, but get more and more unlikely as you continue to win. The most I have won in a single day is 4 times.
• Sign Up Your Friends and Family! – This is the easiest way to win lots of Swagbucks. You may only win 1-5 Swagbucks a day by yourself, but with just 5 friends earning on average 2 Swagbucks a day you would earn 360 Swagbucks a month! Just think of what you could do with 50 friends signed up! I am currently earning about 25 Swagbucks a day!
• Set Swagbucks as a Default Search Engine or Homepage - The less you have to think about using it the more likely you will win!
